The proposed amendments to the IHO Rules introduce several key updates. They establish new oversight measures for the Chief Hearing Officer, requiring an annual performance evaluation by the City Clerk while formally affirming the Hearing Officer's decisional independence. They also include a new jurisdiction section expressly limits the IHO's authority to hearing types listed on the City Clerk’s website and creates a process for appealing jurisdictional disputes.

The Office of the City Clerk hereby gives notice that it will conduct a public hearing on amendments on Administrative Hearings.
