City Hosting Constructive Conversations on Housing and Homelessness
Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller announces the second series of “Constructive Conversations,” community meetings to foster dialogue between residents and City leaders to shape the future of Albuquerque. These meetings will provide updates to residents about efforts around homelessness and housing.
All three meetings will focus on the Metro Homelessness Initiative (MHI) and actions to expand housing options and support systems to help individuals transition from homelessness to stable living. Projects and programs discussed will include the Gateway Centers; the Albuquerque Community Safety department; the Housing, Health, and Homelessness department; redevelopment efforts; and affordable housing and conversion projects. Each Constructive Conversation will cover the same content, so residents only need to attend one.
The City is asking for donations of winter clothing at the Constructive Conversations — hats, gloves, coats, blankets and scarves — to help our neighbors in need. Meeting participants are encouraged to bring a donation.
The events are free and open to the public. RSVPs are required to attend. Residents can reserve their seat at one of the Conversations on the Connect ABQ Events webpage.
