Renee Martinez, Director of Finance & Administrative Services

Renée Martinez is the Director of Finance & Administrative Services. Renée has been serving as Director since February of 2019. Renée has over thirty years’ of experience in private and public organizations with strong skills in envisioning and implementing business and technology solutions to support strategies and opportunities. She attended college at Stanford University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. Prior to joining the City of Albuquerque, Renée worked for the City of Santa Fe as Deputy City Manager-Manager of Innovation, where she was responsible for working with the City workforce and other stakeholders to champion new and existing initiatives that streamline operations, enhance organizational performance, and improve customer service across the City. Renée has also served in leadership roles with Presbyterian Healthcare Services and State of New Mexico in the departments of health, environment and the Office of the State Engineer. Renée is a Native New Mexican with deep roots in northern New Mexico. She is a proud mother of 2 college aged children and wife of Greg Ridgley. Renée is a supporter of women’s college sports, particularly volleyball, tennis and basketball. She is a world traveler which includes trips to South Africa and to the Galapagos. Renée’s favorite thing about Albuquerque is its rich culture and the many events held in Albuquerque that celebrate that culture.
