Alcohol Permit Applications

Alcohol Permit Applications and all attachments MUST be emailed to Jessica Robertson ([email protected]). As of June 30, 2026, paper applications will no longer be accepted for processing.

Complete Applications with all required attachments must be received by the Alcohol Licensing Coordinator at least 14 calendar days prior to the Event.

Please note that every permit application requires: 

  1. CABQ Application.
  2. State ABC Application.
  3. Both the CABQ and State Applications need to match!
  4. Alcohol service must end 30 minutes prior-to the end of the event.
  5. Applications must include a map of the perimeter of the event space indicating square footage of the space, entry/exit points, where the bar will be, and where security will be stationed.
  6. Minimum Security Requirements: 1 security guard per 100 guests consuming alcohol is required.
  7. A list of servers pouring alcohol at the event; including the name(s), certificate number(s), and expiration date(s). 
  8. Approval to use privately owned property, which should include the name of the event and date.
  9. If the event is outdoors, an Outdoor Assembly Permit needs to be submitted via the Fire Marshal's portal:  FMO Permits - City of Albuquerque
  10. Incomplete Applications or missing attachments may delay processing and approval!
