District 5 Park Improvements

Ventana Ranch Pickleball Courts Design Phase Complete

The Contractor and City are considering pricing and phase dates.
Construction is set to begin in 2024, with estimated completion in summer 2025 due to required temperature specifications for the surfacing product.

Hunter’s Run Park Playground

In June 2025, City Parks and Recreation will begin work on needed updates and renovations to Hunter’s Run Park. The work includes installation of new playground equipment, replacing the playground sand with engineered wood fiber, new park benches, picnic tables, and trash receptacles. District 5 Councilor Dan Lewis provided set-aside funds to refresh and renovate the 24-year-old park, and its original equipment and structures.

Petroglyph Estates Park Playground

The 2024 State Legislature's funding for the new Petroglyph Estates Park playground is now available. Parks and Recreation will now work with vendors and plan public meetings to garner neighborhood and visitor input prior design and planning for the project.

George J. Maloof Memorial Air Park Improvements

The Maloof Air Park is a Parks and Recreation open space area providing safe location for the use of remote control airplanes, control line airplanes, helicopters, and cars.

The project will create new runway areas, paving at the control line field, drone zone training areas, spectator facilities and ADA upgrades to the parking lot.
