City Councilor Stephanie Telles is launching Participatory Budgeting in District 1, giving residents a say on public spending. Participatory budgeting (“PB”) is a democratic process where community members decide how to spend public money. To get involved, you can complete an Orientation Form, apply to serve on the Steering Committee (deadline September 18th, 2026), or participate in events.
The Kickoff Potluck is on September 10th, 2026, at West Mesa Community Center from 5:30-7:30 pm It’s an opportunity to learn more and share a dish. Interpretation will be available. In September, the Steering Committee will be recruited and oriented, and project idea collection will begin in early October.
