ASE Expert Witness

The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) staff who review and approve speeding citations issued through the Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program are trained to understand the technology in-use by the ASE cameras and to interpret the data that is presented on each speeding event to determine the validity of the citation. The APD staff who issued the citation will be present at the hearing to testify to the integrity of the equipment and process used in the ASE program.

Elovate Expert Witness

Billy Silva, Field Service Technician, or Jonanthan Kirkland, National Maintenance Manager will be available to answer any questions regarding the technology of the speed cameras. Every technician and maintenance manager is trained on the speed camera technology. They are certified on our camera systems as a Photo Enforcement Deployment Technician as well as a Photo Enforcement Repair Technician. The training consists of on-site and remote workshops with the Elovate camera and radar vendors who train staff on how the camera works and how it should be set up. There is a proprietary manual for both the camera and radar equipment that is constantly reviewed after training as well. He also has proficient knowledge in computer build and repair and a deep understanding of IT networking and systems.
