Celebrate Balloon Fiesta® week with a visit to the Balloon Museum on NM Free Day! In-state visitors receive free admission with proof of New Mexico residency.
Get here early to enjoy breakfast on our lawn with a spectacular view of the Balloon Fiesta field. We will have food trucks on-site.
Explore our newest exhibit, Experimental, as well as exhibits featuring New Mexico locals and stories throughout the Museum, including the Balloons Over Route 66 mural, the Double Eagle II, and Canopy of Color: Celebrating the History of the Balloon Fiesta.
From 9 am – 11 am, enjoy live music by local musicians. Experience the Anderson Family Theater featuring a special guest speaker in the morning and new films later in the day.
Free admission is valid for New Mexico residents on Monday, October 5, 2026, only. Please present either a New Mexico driver's license or a utility bill with a local address at the ticket booth.
