City of Albuquerque Aquatics to Host All-Comers Swim Meet to Benefit United Way

Entry fees will be donated to United Way as part of City’s annual giving campaign

On Saturday, November 17 at 8:00 a.m., swimmers are invited to dive into the pool for some good-natured competition all for a good cause. The City of Albuquerque’s Aquatics Division will hold an all-comers swim meet at the West Mesa Aquatic Center to benefit the United Way. All entry fees and additional contributions will be donated to the United Way of Central New Mexico as part of the City of Albuquerque’s annual giving campaign.

For a $10 entry fee, swimmers can enroll in up to two events. For an additional $5 per event, swimmers will be allowed to enter other races as well. Additional contributions from swimmers and spectators are welcome to help give back to our community.

Awards will be handed out to the top performers by age group in each event. Swimmers must be 18 years old or older to compete.

To Register:

Interested swimmers can visit play.cabq.gov to register or download the registration form and bring it to any of the City’s indoor pools. Registration must be complete by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

Heat sheets will be emailed to participants and also posted at the pools on Friday, November 16. Any changes can be made up until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, and then all entries will be considered final.

Payment and additional contributions will be collected at West Mesa Aquatic Center on the day of the meet. Due to the charitable nature of the event, only cash or checks made out to United Way will be accepted.
