Tree-Protection at Construction-sites

Protected Trees in Construction Site

'Tree-Protection @ Construction-Sites'

in ABQ Takes Root(!)

Thanks to the Department of Municipal Development (DMD) who worked in coordination with the Parks and Recreation Department Foresters to learn about protection-measures for the trees in the 4th St Mall.

Led by helpful and enlightened managers,  construction crews not only avoided cutting vital roots, but also added some simple protective covers for times when machinery had to be used in close proximity to the trees.

DMD is managing contractors to improve the walkability of the 4th St Mall and by their professional care and concern are insuring  we don't damage or lose one of the most valued and defining characteristics of that space… TREES!
