Biography

City Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn was born in Grants, NM and has lived in District 7 for almost 20 years. She is proud to serve District 7 residents as their City Councilor.

Councilor Fiebelkorn is the owner of eSolved, Inc., an environmental and business consulting firm. She provides project planning, economic and environmental analysis, legislative analysis, lobbying, and financial management to a variety of clients across the United States. She has degrees in economics and finance from Northeast Louisiana University as well as a master’s degree in natural resource economics from Colorado State University. 

Councilor Fiebelkorn has an extensive history in energy efficiency, having worked deeply on energy efficiency program design and evaluation. She has worked with the City of Albuquerque on numerous projects including funding and implementing low-income energy efficiency retrofits in disadvantaged neighborhoods, updating the city’s Energy Conservation Code, developing coordinated positions on energy and transportation cases at the NM Public Regulation Commission, and managing the Mayor’s Energy Challenge which helps small businesses reduce their energy burden and environmental impacts. 

In her role as the New Mexico Representative for Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, she works to reduce energy-burden and transportation-burden for low-income New Mexicans, pass policies that fight climate change, and bring the benefits of a clean energy economy to New Mexicans. She has served as an expert for clients on energy efficiency program filings with state regulators. She has taught classes on energy conservation codes and policies and served on the New Mexico Code Change Committee. She has lobbied extensively for more energy efficiency at the New Mexico State Legislature. Additionally, she developed extensive education and outreach materials on energy efficiency and environmental policies. Tammy was the recipient of the 2020 Climate Conservation Award from Climate Change Leadership Institute

Councilor Fiebelkorn is the Founder and President of Positive Links, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about The Link between Animal Abuse and Human Violence and providing training to domestic violence workers, social workers, animal control officers, and others about this issue. She organizes the annual New Mexico Conference on The Link between Animal Abuse and Human Violence and provides training on The Link statewide. She’s provided training on The Link to City of Albuquerque Animal Care & Control officers, Albuquerque Police Officers, and volunteers with the City’s Senior Affairs Department. She dedicates time to legislative efforts to increase the protection of the environment and animal rights and was instrumental in the passage of ordinances in Boulder and Estes Park, CO that prohibit the exhibition of wild and exotic animals as well as legislation to create New Mexico’s Link Awareness Day. 

Councilor Fiebelkorn serves on the board of Land of Enchantment Clean Cities, Sprouting Compassion and Positive Links and is a steering committee member for Coalition for Clean Affordable Energy. She lives with her partner Paul and their furry and feathered kids – Frida (18-year-old mutt), Frijolito (13-year-old mutt), Cinderella (10-year-old mutt), and Mr. T (69-year-old parrot).
