Technical Review Committee (TRC)

The Technical Review Committee is comprised of professionals from throughout the City of Albuquerque, including the Purchasing Division.

Technical Review Committee is charged with the initial review and approval of all information technology projects and purchases over p-card limit.

Policies, Standards & Procedures

A number of policies, standards, and procedures guide the City's information technology efforts. They cover topics ranging from the design of this website, to hardware and software choices, to security precautions.

Approval Process

• Less than p-card limit: No approval required
• p-card limit - $100,001: Submit online Technical Review Committee request; Chief Information Officer can approve.
• Over $100,001: Submit online Technical Review Committee request; TRC must approve.

Technical Review Requests

The reviewing specialists must have the online Technical Review Committee request and the two supporting documents before they can begin their review.

All Technical Review Committee requests must be entered into the Online Technical Review Committee System; paper Technical Review Committee requests are not accepted.

• Request login information to the Online TRC System from the City's Service Desk.

The Preliminary Security Questionnaire (PSQ) and the PSQ AI addendum must be submitted with your application

Attendance

Either the primary user representative or the Dept. of Technology and Innovation specialist or client representative needs to attend the Technical Review Committee meeting to answer questions.

Chief Information Officer Approval Policy

The CIO may approve any standard IT commodity purchase, regardless of the amount. A Technical Review Committee form must still be submitted.
