Jane will provide a demo and workshop to the Albuquerque community detailing how the pieces for the show Intertwined Detritus were made, as well as a hands-on art project creating abstracted water and landscapes, using recycled papers, wax, silt, and charcoal on mineral paper. Description

Participants will observe how cold wax can be used on its own or mixed with oil paint and other materials in creating unique 2-dimensional artworks to take home and enjoy! Using charcoal, silt, recycled papers and bees wax, participants will make one-of-a-kind artworks employing non- traditional tools such as scrapers, wax paper, and skewers. Cold wax is a versatile, freeing, and forgiving medium that allows for play and much imagination! All experience levels are welcome, and all materials provided.
