Join an Open Space educator on a family-friendly hike and engage in hands-on learning together as a family, listen to natural history fun facts, enjoy storytelling, and seek out wildlife. Program is offered once-a-month at various Open Space public lands. Please arrive prepared to have fun in the outdoors.
Carving out History: View up to 300 petroglyphs with an Open Space Educator at Rinconada Canyon, nestled in the Petroglyph National Monument. A 1-mile roundtrip, family-friendly hike will inform how human societies and cultures have developed in this area with activities suited for all ages.
Program is free, but registration is required at play.cabq.gov (Open Space → Public Programs → Family Programs → Family Nature Club Hikes)
