Description

This exhibition brings together sculpture and watercolor works that celebrate the wonder, intelligence, and quiet magic of the natural world. Inspired by childhood landscapes and close encounters with wildlife, the artist creates visual stories that blend realism with subtle fantasy — inviting viewers into a world where kingfishers hold compasses, peregrine falcons wear spectacles, and delicate fairy forms swing gently in antique birdcages.

Through carefully crafted sculptures and richly detailed paintings, the exhibition explores the beauty and interconnectedness of birds, animals, and the landscapes they inhabit. Many sculptural pieces incorporate natural materials, including wings made from collected, pressed, and painted cottonwood leaves, further deepening the connection between art and environment. These imaginative yet grounded works encourage curiosity, storytelling, and a renewed appreciation for the creatures that share our world.

At the heart of the exhibition is a message of conservation through connection: we protect what we love. By inviting visitors to fall in love with the natural world, the exhibition aims to inspire stewardship and care for the landscapes and wildlife that surround us.

In addition to completed works, the artist will host weekly live sculpting demonstrations throughout the exhibition. Beginning with a simple block of clay — symbolizing earth itself — visitors will witness the slow, thoughtful transformation of clay into a bird form, from egg to body, wings, and finally feathers. This contemplative, evolving process offers a rare opportunity to observe the creation of art in real time and engage in meaningful conversation about nature, creativity, and preservation.

Through storytelling, craftsmanship, and imagination, this exhibition invites visitors to pause, reflect, and rediscover the magic of the natural world.
