Open Space Visitor Center Hosts 2nd Annual “Boosque” on the Bosque
The Open Space Visitor Center will host its 2nd annual “Boosque” on the Bosque for kids and families on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Kids and their families are invited to come dressed in your Halloween best and learn about the not-so-spooky critters of the Rio Grande’s Bosque ecosystem.
Participants will receive a “passport” to be stamped while exploring the Visitor Center and visiting education stations to learn about local plants and animals from the Bosque. The passport can then be turned in for a special prize! This interactive event is fun for the whole family and includes “Boosque”-themed arts and crafts, snacks, and more! And best of all, it’s FREE!
The Open Space Visitor Center is an interpretive hub for the Open Space program, lands, and resources. Visitors enjoy educational exhibits, art displays, wildlife fields, a Traditions garden, Bosque trails, and a variety of talks, workshops, demonstrations and entertainment. The Open Space Visitor Center is located at 6500 Coors Boulevard, between Montaño Road and Paseo del Norte at the end of Bosque Meadows Road.
