Santa Fe, NM – The New Mexico State Treasurer’s Office, in partnership and collaboration with the City of Albuquerque Office of Financial Empowerment, BankOn Burque, The Education Plan (529), and the Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico (PERA) SmartSave Deferred Compensation Plan, is thrilled to announce the continuation of its Financial Empowerment Summit event series. This FREE community event, taking place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is designed to boost financial fitness and provide valuable knowledge and resources from experts on how New Mexicans can maximize their finances. The Summit will feature financial experts from local organizations, banks, and state offices, offering attendees practical and actionable financial information. Session topics are focused on maximizing financial well-being and include budgeting, saving for retirement, estate planning, ways to improve your credit, and more! The Financial Empowerment Summit will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Albuquerque Museum (2000 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104) and is open to all members of the public at no charge and with absolutely no solicitation. The event is RSVP-only and space is limited to 150 attendees due to capacity limitations.

After a successful Financial Empowerment Summit in Las Vegas, New Mexico serving fire victims, our objective is to ensure every resident across the state has the access and tools to maximize their financial fitness. This event is one of the many ways we’re achieving that goal.”
