Men, Women & Couples Welcome
Gateway West, located at 7440 Jim McDowell NW, is the City’s largest shelter and serves an average of 600 people per night, with cold winter nights bringing in more than 700 people. The shelter offers a safe and welcoming environment to men and women experiencing homelessness in Albuquerque.

Big Changes at Gateway West
Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), the regionally-based provider, says they are incorporating their values including prioritizing pathways to housing, and a belief that everyone deserves to live a meaningful life with dignity.
In addition to managing operations at Gateway West, CPLC is beginning to offer case management for residents up to 59 years old.
Sierra Health Care is currently providing case management services to seniors.
