About the Albuquerque, Bernalillo County Public Art Census
Throughout 2024, a dedicated team of local artists, creatives, and arts professionals spent countless hours traveling across the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County to documents works of public art or representations of creative expression visible from the public right of way.
Canvassers traveled over 20,000 linear miles across Bernalillo County between December 2023 and October 2024, uncovering 11,364 artworks.
The Public Art Census team also reached out to Land Grants and Pueblo and Navajo territories within the Bernalillo county borders to establish a relationship and request permission to extend the Public Art Census into Cañón de Carnué, Chilili, To’Hajiilee, and Isleta Pueblo.
