Clean Vehicles Regulation Documents
Advanced Clean Vehicles: NMED and EHD have proposed rules to adopt the latest California vehicle standards. For more information about the current rulemaking, see the Air Quality Control Board webpage under the current rulemaking proceedings section.
Public input sessions to allow for comment will be held on the following dates:
- 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Community Room in the Santa Fe Public Library - Southside Branch, 6599 Jaguar Drive in Santa Fe
- 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, online at https://nmed-oit.webex.com/weblink/register/r98e1f875171c6a28f99910fbf11015e7
- 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023, in the Community Meeting Room at the International District Library, 7601 Central Ave NE in Albuquerque
For the November 13-16, 2023 hearing, public comment will be available on:
- November 13, 2023 at 12:00 pm and at 5:00 pm for 1 hour each
- November 14, 2023 at 9:00 am and at 1:00 pm for 1 hour each
Oral public comment can be in person or virtual (audio only) with a 3 minute time limit. There is no limitation for written comment. Written comment specific to Albuquerque-Bernalillo County may be submitted electronically to [email protected] or [email protected].

Clean Cars I: At the conclusion of a joint hearing on May 4-5, 2022, the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Air Quality Control Board and the New Mexico Environmental Improvement Board adopted the Clean Cars I Rule.
