The University of New Mexico is requesting a new construction permit to install a diesel engine to power an air compressor and a rotating detonating engine. The compressor will provide process air for the experimental combustion of hydrogen in a rotating detonating engine. The applicant is requesting an operational maximum of 300 hours per year.
