Neighborhood Sign Program

The Office of Neighborhood Coordination (ONC) oversees the Neighborhood Sign Program on behalf of the City Council.

PLEASE NOTE: Neighborhood sign requests are not guaranteed. They are contingent upon fund availability and final approval from your City Councilor.

The Neighborhood Sign Program is administered by the Office of Neighborhood Coordination (ONC) on behalf of the City Council. The ONC works with the Department of Municipal Development (DMD), City Councilors, and neighborhood associations across Albuquerque to help choose appropriate neighborhood sign designs, installations and maintenance. Neighborhood signs provide a sense of pride and ownership for neighborhoods, and allows neighborhoods to take a more active role in maintaining their signs.

The Neighborhood Sign Manual was updated and finalized by the ONC and the City Council Office in September 2020. The updated Manual reflects new sign designs, additional safety additions to the signs, and clarifies the ONC's administration of the Program.
