CABQ Nonprofit Capacity Building Program

The Nonprofit Capacity Building program has launched!

Current Partners

This cohort is for agencies that currently have contracts with CABQ for FY26 and 27 that will meet quarterly for mentorship, networking, and trainings. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 15 from 3-5 pm in person at City Hall. Future meetings will alternate between online and in person. The broad curriculum includes refreshers on on procurement and contracting, plus trainings on the lifecycle of the budget, getting a City business license, looking at services through data, how agencies can work together, and more!

Future Partners

This cohort is for nonprofits that hope to partner/contract with CABQ in the future and will meet quarterly for mentorship, networking, and trainings. The first meeting will be Thursday, August 6 from 9-11 am in person at City Hall. Future meetings will alternate between online and in person. The broad curriculum includes all things procurement and contracts: training on the lifecycle of contracting and budget, recurring/non-recurring funding, getting a City business license, the difference between RFP, RFB, RFQ, insurance info, data collection and demonstration, monitoring and reporting, submitting an invoice, and more!

Federal Funding

Information provided at City trainings for subrecipients of Federal funding, such as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.
