Museum offices will be closed on July 3, for the 4th of July holiday.
The Museum will be open for you to enjoy on its regular schedule -- 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the holiday weekend.
And don't forget: MUSEUM ADMISSION IS FREE the first Friday of every month and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

"Stories in the Sky" Every Wednesday morning!
“Stories in the Sky” a FREE storytelling program for children, ages 6 months to 6 years, is offered every Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:15 am. The program features stories, games, songs, crafts and movement. This weekly story time for the youngest explorers and their adult adventurers voyages through children’s literature to the fascinating worlds of history, art, culture, science, sport and -- of course -- flight!

Balloon Museum Looking for Volunteers
The Balloon Museum is looking for new volunteers to help visitors "discover the WOW" (World of Wonder).
Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas, especially those willing to lead student field trips and conduct curriculum-based program tied to the history of balloons and other lighter-than-air craft. Training for all volunteers begins February 21, 2009 and will take place on three consecutive Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. Additional training will be provided for volunteers working with student field trips. Contact Deb Bains at 768-6027 to register for training.

The Flying Bus Program
The Flying Bus Program provides field trips to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum for underserved children, Title I schools, community centers and senior centers.
Museum admission, transportation funding, and educational materials are included.
The Flying Bus Program is funded by Bank of America Charitable Foundation and administered by AAIBM Foundation.

The mission of the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is to be the leading educational institution of engaging exhibitions and informative programs on the art, culture, history, science and sport of ballooning and other lighter-than-air craft.
The Museum encompasses an international, national and regional perspective demonstrating the global development of ballooning achievements through exhibitions, collections and programs designed for diverse audiences.
The Museum also showcases the adventurous spirit, endeavors and achievements of individual balloonists.
The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is owned and operated by the Cultural Services Department of the City of Albuquerque and supported by the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum Foundation.
