Volunteers can join neighborhoods throughout city or be a part of hundreds of volunteers at Balloon Fiesta Park on Saturday, September 30. Registration is open now.

“Our goal is to get as many people as possible involved in keeping our City looking its best,” said Billy Gallegos, interim SWMD director. “We’ll provide you with all the supplies you need, we just need your help.”

Those who register by the Friday, September 22 deadline will receive free trash bags and gloves for their cleanups. The Solid Waste Management Department will also collect waste from all the registered neighborhood cleanup events at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 30.

Volunteers who register for the cleanup at Balloon Fiesta Park will receive food and refreshments while supplies last. Supplies for this cleanup will be provided at the park on September 30.

“Company’s Comin’ highlights the best of Albuqeurque’s community spirit,” said Dave Simon, director of the Parks and Recreation Department. “This cleanup ensures everyone will be met with spaces as vibrant as the skies.”
