Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) by learning, sharing, and taking part in a vibrant lineup of events that honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities.
Calendar of Events
There are family-friendly events, cultural performances, film screenings, art exhibits, and more. Come celebrate this month and deepen your appreciation of the rich, diverse traditions that shape our community. Some of these events are free, some have a cost. New Mexico State Fair
Description: The New Mexico State Fair is an annual, 10-day event held each September at Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque, attracting over 500,000 attendees.
Dates: Thursday, September 10 to Sunday, September 20, 2026

Cine Magnifico!
Description: Celebrates Spanish and Latin American culture through presentation of some of the best of modern cinema in a weekend-long program, featuring work by first-time filmmakers and established masters alike.

Maravilla Gala
Description: An elegant fundraising event hosted by the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation (NHCC). This year, the NHCC Foundation’s Maravilla Fusión celebrates the dynamic blend that defines Hispanic culture. Ancestral roots meet modern expression; Indigenous, African, and European influences colliding and merging. Music, art, movement, and people flowing together into something bold and alive.
This is culture in motion. This is fusión.

Albuquerque Running Fiesta
Description: The 2026 Albuquerque Running Fiesta will be bigger, more exciting, and even more community-driven. Highlights include: USATF Certified Marathon Course, new start line and improved course flow, pacers for the Half Marathon and Marathon, bigger Race Expo and Packet Pick Up Experience, more on-course entertainment and activations, 26 community teams cheering throughout the marathon course, enhanced finish line festival atmosphere, improved swag and finisher medals, free race photos, more local partnerships and community involvement, and music, culture, color, and Fiesta energy throughout race weekend
