Correction: Striping Issue on 3rd Street Between Central and Hazeldine

Due to an internal miscommunication, a press release was sent stating that striping on 3rd St. between Central and Hazeldine had been applied incorrectly. Instead, the striping in this area was simply incomplete.
Striping teams are on-site completing striping work today, April 7, 2023, and should be finished no later than early next week. There is no additional cost to the completion of this work, outside of the budgeted project amount.
Striping in this area is part of a larger rehabilitation project that conforms with the Complete Streets program, was reviewed by the Complete Streets committee, and conforms to the Downtown Safety Zone.
There may be some temporary disruptions to traffic flow and pedestrian access while work is completed, and the Department of Municipal Development advises motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution and follow any temporary signage or directions from onsite personnel.
