New Real Property Manager joins DMD

The City of Albuquerque welcomes Damon Bader as the new Real Property Manager in the Department of Municipal Development, where he will head up the team that manages all real estate services for the City of Albuquerque. Bader has experience in real estate and business, including as a commercial and residential realtor with Realty One. He also has a strong business background and helped grow Defined Fitness as an executive-level leader. He’s an Albuquerque native, and a proud West Mesa Mustang. He and his family still call the West Side home. In Real Property, he will oversee acquiring and selling real estate, granting licenses for the use of City-owned properties, acquire and sell right-of-way, grant easements, and negotiate City leases.

Gary Boyd has been promoted to Assistant Real Property Manager in DMD. Boyd is also a native of Albuquerque who has been with the city for two years. Boyd has an entrepreneurial background; he owned an acrylic fabrication shop for 20 years before shifting gears to residential real estate and got his broker license in 2012.Today he teaches real estate continuing education classes for Mesa Real Estate Institute, and on the weekends, if you look up you may see him flying his purple and red balloon over the city
