City of Albuquerque to Install Retractable Bollards on 3rd.
ALBUQUERQUE – Beginning Monday, April 17, the Department of Municipal Development’s Construction Services Division will begin work on the installation of permanent retractable bollards on 3rd at the intersections of Marquette and Tijeras. 3rd will be closed between these intersections through the duration of the work, which is expected to be completed by early May. Food Truck Fridays will also be relocated from its usual position on 3rd to the City-owned 3rd & Marquette surface parking lot. These retractable bollards will make the closure of 3rd for events on Civic Plaza and at the Convention Center much easier and cheaper, saving the City valuable time and resources in the future.
