What Are We Doing About Homelessness? You Can Keep Track

New web dashboard keeps public informed about metrics and progress on homelessness
February 26, 2024

The Albuquerque community now has a new way to keep up with the City’s work on addressing homelessness by delivering housing stability and other services. The new online dashboard is available at cabq.gov/homeless.

It is updated monthly, showing the number of people using City shelters, the number of families and individuals graduating our Housing Navigation programs into permanent housing, outreach connections, rides given to shelters, food boxes distributed, people provided with eviction prevention and utility assistance, and actions taken to address illegal camping.

“This dashboard is a great way for people to get updated information about how much work we’re doing to address homelessness,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “When our teams are connecting with folks on the street and getting them into a housing program or providing utility assistance, they are actively working to get folks off our streets and to prevent more people from becoming homeless. This work makes a real difference in our community and is a critical part of our work to keep Albuquerque safe for our families.”

The dashboard is viewable at cabq.gov/homeless. Data reflects work done by multiple departments and is updated in first week of every month. It is also shared in a graphic on city social media channels.
