City to Build Database to Streamline Access to Treatment and Services

Real Time Solutions Selected to Build Platform Streamlining Addiction Treatment Services.
May 05, 2025

ALBUQUERQUE- Tonight, City Council approved a recommendation to contract with Real Time Solutions to develop a centralized database aimed at simplifying access to life-saving addiction treatment and support services.

The database will be designed to help administer vouchers that subsidize substance use treatment through our Providing Addiction Treatment and Healing (PATH) program.

The new platform will facilitate the administration of treatment vouchers, which subsidize costs for outpatient treatment, recovery support, and early intervention services. These vouchers are available to individuals who are low-income, uninsured, or face high deductibles for behavioral health services, ensuring that financial barriers do not impede access to treatment.

“This is a game-changer in connecting people to life-changing treatment and support,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “We are creating a more compassionate and connected system of care that meets people where they’re at.”

The database will serve as a centralized platform where PATH providers can establish vouchers for treatment subsidies, track progress, and follow up with clients. The platform will also support the City in appropriately tracking funding allocations for the PATH program.

“Accessing treatment and services should never be a process that adds to someone’s trauma,” said Health, Housing and Homelessness Director Gilbert Ramirez. “This new database isn’t just about technology; it’s about reducing the number of times people have to retell their stories and fill out paperwork. We are prioritizing people through our processes.”
