Small Business Fair to Connect Entrepreneurs With Tools for Growth
More than 30 organizations will be on hand offering expert advice
The City of Albuquerque’s Small Business Office and Job Training Albuquerque are teaming up to host a Small Business Resource Fair connecting attendees with over 20 organizations dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. Representatives from City departments, lenders, marketing agencies, and more will offer resources, funding opportunities, and expert guidance.
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, which runs November 17-23, the event will also feature a Business Registration Clinic led by the City’s Planning Department. Eligible businesses can apply onsite for a general or home-based business license or renew their current license. Computers and scanners will be available for use, and applicants should bring their current registration certificate from the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.
Attendees will also learn about services offered by Job Training Albuquerque, which provides more than 150 industry-specific training programs at no cost to small businesses. Applications are currently being accepted. Staff will be available to answer questions about the City’s Window Repair Grant, which helps local businesses replace windows damaged by vandalism.
“Albuquerque’s small businesses are the heart of our local economy, and we’re committed to helping them succeed,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “This Resource Fair is about making sure entrepreneurs, whether just starting out or looking to grow, have the tools, training, and connections they need to thrive.”
