FREE Neighborhood Open Space: Community Concert with Jimmy Climbs

Join us for a completely free, family-friendly event highlighting great musical artists and performers. Bring a chair or blanket, picnic dinner, and enjoy free entertainment, paletas, face painting, bosque traveling exhibit truck, rock climbing wall, hands-on nature activities, and incredible views of your public lands under the light of the setting sun.

Neighborhood Nature Festival & Block Party

Join us for a completely free, family-friendly, park pop-up event to celebrate and enjoy nature right in our neighborhoods. Face painter, paletas, live music, bilingual nature storytelling, nature-themed carnivale performers, bosque ecosystem exhibit truck, hands-on activities, games, show-n-tell with urban wild birds, Esperanza bike repair clinic (bring your bike), on-site language interpreters, home and community resource, and more.

Outdoor Field School: Performing Pedology (ages 11-14)

Middle school-aged youth join two Open Space education park rangers for in-depth learning about the natural world around them through fun, hands-on science outdoors using real scientific field equipment. Classes take place at a variety of Open Space public lands.
