ACS Responders: On the Move
ACS responders, like other first responders, operate primarily out of their vehicles to serve the community wherever they are needed. Their mobility allows them to respond quickly to behavioral health crises, quality-of-life concerns, and other non-criminal issues throughout Albuquerque.
Our Headquarters in the International District
Located at the corner of Kathryn & San Mateo, the ACS headquarters is the central hub for administration, responder operations, and community engagement. This state-of-the-art facility includes:
- Administrative offices.
- Operations centers for coordinating responder teams.
- Training rooms for the ACS Academy and ongoing education.
- A collaborative space for ACS and community members to share ideas and grow together.
Adjacent to our headquarters is the International District Harvest Market, a flexible, multi-use space designed for commercial use, micro-businesses, and community events and fairs. This proximity enhances our ability to engage with the community, support local entrepreneurs, and participate in neighborhood events.
Our headquarters reflects our commitment to innovation, accessibility, and community partnerships.
Downtown Presence at the Alvarado Transit Center
To better serve Albuquerque’s downtown area, ACS maintains a small but dedicated presence at the Alvarado Transit Center. This location enables our teams to address downtown-specific needs, including building trust with Familiar Faces, supporting business owners, and responding quickly to referrals from downtown officers for individuals who may benefit from ACS services.
VPI Operations at the Gibson Health Hub
ACS’s Violence Prevention & Intervention (VPI) Division operates some of its programs out of the Gibson Health Hub. This facility provides vital space for initiatives focused on reducing violence, promoting community well-being, and connecting residents with essential resources.
Future Growth
As demand for ACS services continues to rise, we’re exploring opportunities to expand our presence in Albuquerque. A key milestone will be the opening of the Southwest Public Safety Center in late 2025, near 98th Street and Rio Bravo. This facility will be the first in Albuquerque to house ACS alongside the Police and Fire Departments, fostering greater collaboration and improving service delivery in the area.
