ABQ RIDE kicks off Summer Resource Fairs.

May 12, 2026
ALBUQUERQUE – Local organizations are offering useful resources this summer for anyone catching buses, walking to work, or passing through downtown.
Summer Resource Fairs return to the Alvarado Transportation Center (ATC) for the third year in a row to share recovery and housing materials; community and senior center program calendars; maps of green spaces and bike trails; affordable healthcare options; and ways to sign up for swimming, summer reading programs, nutrition classes, grocery discounts, utility assistance, and more!
Monthly events will take place on Wednesdays throughout the summer at the ATC, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on May 13, June 17, July 15, and August 12.
“Albuquerque has an incredible network of public resources,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “These fairs help connect folks with all those life-changing services and support.”
The fairs will be held under the covered rotunda near the ATC’s historic fountain along 1st Street between Central and Gold, and will include information tables from City of Albuquerque departments, nonprofits, and local businesses such as Health Equity Council, Presbyterian, Department of Vocational Resources, United Way, and more. Free parking is available in the 2nd and Gold structure courtesy of the Department of Municipal Development.
“Resource fairs let us better serve our riders beyond transportation,” said Transit Director Leslie Keener. “Nearly half earn less than $10,000 a year, and many rely on public services and community support every day. By bringing a wide range of resources directly to our transit centers, we’re making it easier for people to access crucial programs, connect with essentials, and get the help they need all in one place.”
“We have great vendors lined up this year,” said Marketing Specialist Sean Friend. “We look forward to reaching the thousands of community members who pass through our facility all summer.”
