Description

Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, in partnership with Quelab Makerspace and Fuse Makerspace, is thrilled to announce the return of this year’s Fall FixIt Clinic!

This free, all-ages event invites residents to bring their broken household items—like bikes, small appliances, electronics, clothing, and furniture—and work side-by-side with volunteer coaches to learn how to repair them. Rather than sending these items to the landfill, participants will gain hands-on experience in diagnosing, disassembling, and fixing their belongings, all while learning valuable repair and sustainability skills.

The FixIt Clinic is more than a repair event—it’s a celebration of community problem-solving, resourcefulness, and environmental stewardship. In the past year, we've had dozens of coaches help hundreds of participants bring their favorite items back to life, saving hundreds of pounds of materials from ending up in the landfill. Building on that success, this fall's clinic will feature repair stations, educational demonstrations, and resources on waste reduction and sustainability provided by the City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Management Department and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful.

Join us for a day of creativity, learning, and community pride as we work together to extend the life of everyday items and keep Albuquerque beautiful!
