Donate Items
Sometimes the things we use every day are the things people need most.
We accept donations of new and gently used items that help meet the everyday needs of people staying within the Gateway System of Care.
Current needs may include:
- Clothing
- Shoes
- Hygiene products
- Household and personal care items
- Other requested essentials
Our needs change regularly, so our Amazon Wish List is the easiest way to see what is currently needed and send items directly to Gateway.
Have something you'd like to donate that isn't on the list? Contact us to find out if we can accept it.

About the Volunteer Program
The Department of Health, Housing, and Homelessness volunteer program provides compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness who are currently housed at one of our city-sponsored shelters, including Gateway West, Family Housing Navigation Center, or Gateway Center. Through their dedicated efforts, volunteers play a crucial role in alleviating homelessness and creating positive impacts in the lives of those seeking assistance.
Help provide compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers can assist with shelter operations, offer meals, and engage in outreach.
