Gotta Go? Find a Spot with our New Public Restroom Map
Nobody should have to panic about finding a restroom when out enjoying our city. Now, you can find an open, clean, public restroom on the City’s new interactive map of public restrooms.
Across the city, we maintain 89 public bathroom facilities—from libraries and community centers to parks and golf courses. Keeping these restrooms open, clean, and accessible helps support public health and keeps our streets and public spaces cleaner for everyone.
Public bathrooms are an essential part of a healthy, accessible city. The City of Albuquerque is making it easier for residents and visitors to find clean, available restrooms when they need them.
“We all need a safe, clean, reliable place to go, and we’re making sure folks know where to find public facilities with our new interactive map,” said Chief Operations Officer Pat Montoya. “Now, with a couple of clicks, anyone can find a public restroom near them.”
The new map at cabq.gov/restroom shows bathrooms that are open, those that are currently closed, and those that are open during specific events.
You can search via address lookup, or by moving a cursor on the map to find the closest restroom. For example, the Tijeras Bio-Zone Education Center’s restrooms are open during educational events, while the bathroom at the Uptown Transit Center is open 24/7. If a bathroom needs cleaning or maintenance, the map has a link to report to 311.
“Having a clean, safe, restroom helps everyone when you’ve got to go. Making sure our public restrooms in our public buildings are clean and accessible is a priority, just like providing Wi-fi and reliable heating and cooling,” said Nathan Martinez, Director of the General Services Department.
