Upcoming City Council Committee Meetings to be Held in Council Committee Room

Next week, the May 9 Finance and Government Operations Committee Meeting and the May 10 Public Safety Committee Meeting will be held in the City Council Committee Room on the 9th Floor of the City of Albuquerque Government Center. Due to the location change, the hybrid meeting feature on Zoom, including virtual public comments and YouTube live stream will not be available for these meetings.
As City Council Meetings and Council Committee Meetings have returned to be in-person, City staff have been providing a hybrid meeting option for members of the public by hosting the meetings on Zoom Webinar and allowing public comments through Zoom, in addition to public comments in the Council Chambers. The hybrid meetings do require additional staff and resources to provide the best experience for the meeting participants. Council Staff is currently working to ensure that the additional resources, including staffing, are available soon to provide hybrid meetings again for Council Committees such as the Finance and Government Operations Committee, Public Safety Committee, and Land Use, Planning and Zoning Committee.
By returning to the Committee Room, the Committees are returning to the previous structure of having Committee Meetings without a broadcast or live stream. Members of the public that would like to participate will have to attend the meeting in-person, beginning at 5:00 PM. If members of the public would like to provide public comments, they can still sign-up beforehand using the webforms here: https://www.cabq.gov/council/find-your-councilor/public-comments. Staff will not take public comment sign-ups at the committee meetings.
