Lomas Traffic Calming & Green Stormwater Infrastructure Analysis

Planning & Design Anticipated Late 2025

Councilor Fiebelkorn has begun the process of traffic calming on Lomas between Girard and San Pedro. An initial traffic study is underway. Capital outlay funding has been secured to complete the traffic analysis. Future funding will be needed to install rest-on-red traffic timing in the area and investigate the possible use of green stormwater infrastructure in the area. The main goal of the project is to improve travel and safety for all users while fostering a vibrant, multimodal corridor. Traffic calming measures would be evaluated for areas to increase pedestrian and bicycle safety and accessibility.

Capital Outlay funding in 2025 is provided by Senator Sedillo-Lopez, and Sedillo-Lopez as well as Representative Anaya.
