Tom Bolack Trail Improvements Completed 2026

Completed 2026

Councilor Fiebelkorn completed the Tom Bolack trail improvement project, which Councilor Gibson began prior to Councilor Fiebelkorn taking office. The project added paving and solar lighting to the existing trail.
In 2024, the City worked with PNM to relocate guy wires, clearing the way for a concrete path connecting to the trail's East portion near the dog park. Construction of the path finished in 2025, along with most of the lighting installation. The final lights were added in early 2026, completing the project.

The West phase of the trail began January 30, 2025. The trail will be constructed by the Parks & Recreation Department with help from our on-call contractor, Franklin’s Earthmoving, Inc. and is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
