Tom Bolack Trail Improvements

Completion Anticipated 2025

Councilor Gibson began this project prior to Councilor Fiebelkorn taking office. Councilor Fiebelkorn has since worked to complete the plan to improve the existing Tom Bolack trail. The upgrades include paving and solar lighting.

In 2024, the City worked with PNM to move guy wires to make way to build a concrete path to connect with the East portion of the trail that was installed leading to the dog park. The path was constructed, and the majority of the lights were installed through 2025.

With construction of the path complete, the final lights will be added to the path in early 2026.

The West phase of the trail began January 30, 2025. The trail will be constructed by the Parks & Recreation Department with help from our on-call contractor, Franklin’s Earthmoving, Inc. and is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
