Description
This class led by instructors Myra Chang Thompson and Carla Wackenheim, feature examples of products of colonial and territorial New Mexico that were fiber-made utilitarian and trade items. Handknit socks were often traded to workers of the silver mines in Mexico. Learn to knit easy socks. Participants also learn to create everyday items such as "jergas," utility cloths that serves as blankets, rugs, tarps, tents, and could also be made into clothing. Participants dye both wool and cotton in this workshop.
