Description
This class features lessons demonstrating winding and warping with table looms using wool yarn and traditional patterns for jerga and colcha textiles. Learn to weave on different types of looms. Special emphasis will be on weaving a simple base fabric for colcha embroidery, called sabanilla cloth, a loosely woven wool fabric with a count of approximately 12 to 22 threads per inch. Learn to make sabanilla fabric on a variety of simple looms using wool yarn.
