Part-Time Recreation Positions
Recreation Leader (Summer, Student, Temporary)
This position is hired to work directly the youth & families of our communities. Being on the front lines of our programs and providing valuable services to the people of Albuquerque.
Assistant Site Supervisor & Site Supervisor
These positions are also available depending on qualifications and the needs of various programs.

Community Centers
We are looking for talented, dedicated, and professional staff members to work at one of more than 20 community centers located throughout the City of Albuquerque.
Play + at APS School Sites
We train you to provide a fun, safe, and creative atmosphere for children ages 6 to 12 years old at elementary schools throughout Albuquerque.
Therapeutic Recreation
We are fully inclusive and for those with and without disabilities, ages 6 and up. The program offers a variety of services that may include art, leisure education, performing arts, gross motor activities, and games.
Job Mentor Program
The Job Mentor Program is a youth career-readiness training program that consists of a school-based program and paid summer internships.
School-based Program
JMP partners with 15 high schools in the Albuquerque Public Schools system to offer career-readiness training that includes career exploration, workforce skills, and paid job shadow experiences. Students receive .5 hours of elective credit per semester for attending the class and completing coursework, and participating in job shadow and community service opportunities. Each participating high school is designated a School-based Coordinator, who is responsible for class instruction and facilitating job shadow and community service placements.

Summer Internship Program
Summer internships offer 7-week work placements in government, APS, and non-profit organizations. The program is open to any high school student age 14 and up. Those interested in applying for a 2024 Summer Internship should follow the instructions in the JMP Hiring Packet.
