ALBUQUERQUE – Today, ABQ RIDE joined organizers in kicking off the Albuquerque Comic Con by delivering special guests to the Albuquerque Convention Center. This year marks the 12th annual comic convention in Albuquerque since 2011 and has since become the largest indoor event in the state of New Mexico with over 30,000 attendees expected over the weekend. By taking advantage of free transportation, both residents and visitors to this year’s event can get around town stress free.

“Whether you’re an Albuquerque resident or a visitor for Comic Con, now is a great time to discover the benefits of ABQ RIDE” said Transit Director Leslie Keener. “All are encouraged to download the free Transit App to their smartphones for accurate and reliable bus schedules to help in your trip planning efforts.”

This year’s Comic Con event is expected to be the biggest that Albuquerque and New Mexico have ever seen with an estimated $2.2 million economic impact on the city. By using ABQ RIDE for free to get around the City this weekend, Comic Con attendees can focus their funds on supporting small businesses. Get your tickets at albuquerquecomiccon.com
