Help for using RecTrac, the membership registration system for the City of Albuquerque.

General Questions

Where can I register?

To register for any of the programs available online, navigate to play.cabq.gov to get started.

Do I need an account?

To browse through all the classes, memberships and other programs you do not need to create an account. If you would like to purchase, reserve, or register for any items, then you will need to create an account/household. For directions on creating a household, click here.

What is my username?

If you have previously created an account, but have forgotten your username, please contact us at (505) 768-2000 to obtain it. Please avoid creating a duplicate account to log in.

How do I reset my password?

If you already have an account in the system and have forgotten your password, select the ‘Forgot Password’ button immediately below the account login form. You will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your account. If your email address matches an account in the system, you will receive a password reset email.

It says that I am already in the system, that my email is associated with more than one account, or that I am unable to register. How can I find out or fix my log-in information?

In order to fix your log-in information, even if you have never created an account, please contact us at (505) 768-2000. You are also welcome to stop by any of the facilities listed here to obtain help in person. Please avoid creating a duplicate account to login.

How do I create a household?

Creating a household is similar to creating an account on any given online shopping site. To create a household, you will enter important information related to yourself and any members that may live in your household. To view a step-by-step guide, click here.

How do I add a family member or emergency contacts to my household?

If you are creating a new household, you can add members or contacts during the household creation process by selecting the button below.

For updating an existing household, log in, then navigate to the My Account menu item and select Household & Member. Once you are in the household update, select the button below.

Who can help me? How can I get help creating my account and registering?

The City of Albuquerque has a few different avenues for assistance. Start by giving our Customer Convenience Center a question at (505) 768-2000. They will be able to assist you with password resets, retrieving usernames, and updating email addresses. If you would like to obtain help in person, or need assistance with more complex items, you are welcome to stop by any of the facilities listed here during business hours to obtain assistance.

Why is date of birth required when setting up my household, or my family member’s household?

A majority of programs that the City of Albuquerque provides citizens are categorized by age. For example, youth swimming lessons or adult softball leagues. By providing your birthday during your household creation, you will have the ability to register for the applicable programs smoothly.

How do I change the birthday of my child?

If you have incorrectly entered the birthday of your child, please contact the program that you are trying to register for. Please note that you may be asked to verify age with documentation prior to the start of a program or activity.

Why am I getting an invalid zip code error?

After registering, but during the credit card processing, you may receive an error regarding your zip code, even though you are sure it is the correct number. The first thing you should do is verify your zip code in your household. To do this, go to ‘My Account’ and then click on ‘Update household and member’. If your zip code is correct, re-type the five digit zip code; making sure there is no space after the fifth digit. Once your zip code is re-entered on your household, click save, log out of your account, and completely close your browser. When complete, you can now log back in and continue with your transaction.

How do I cancel or transfer my activity registration?

If you wish to cancel or change your activity registration, you will need to directly contact the program that you registered with. To see locations and respective programs, click here.

Aquatics/Pool Specific Questions

I signed up for the wrong session, pod, or time of day. How can I change that?

The class says that it is full online. How can I register or get placed on a waiting list?

How do I know which pod my child needs to be in?

The system says that my child is not old enough for the class. How do I update their date of birth in my household?

If you have incorrectly entered the birthday of your child, please contact the program that you are trying to register for. Find a list here. Please note that you may be asked to verify age with documentation prior to the start of a program or activity.
