Filming In Albuquerque Communities.

What to Expect When a Production Films in Your Neighborhood

Filming in your neighborhood is exciting! Here is what to expect when filming happens in your neighborhood:

If a production company is interested in filming in your neighborhood, you will receive a film notice from the production. The film notice will include details about the upcoming shoot including dates and times filming will occur, location of their basecamp, work trucks, and crew parking, anticipated street impacts, and more. If you have any concerns about filming in your neighborhood, you may contact the production’s Assistant Location Manager and/or Location Manager listed on the film notice. Productions are always willing to work with the community within reason.

Your Property as a Film Location

If you are interested in having your house, land, lot, structures, ranches, or other property that you own used for filming, you can register your property online with the New Mexico State Film Office’s Locations Directory on the New Mexico Film Office website.

If a production company is interested in filming on your property, initial contact is generally made by a Location Scout or Location Manager. You may call the Albuquerque Film Office to check the credentials of the scout and/or the project. All negotiations for filming use, rates, and so forth will be between the production company and the property owner.

Your Business as a Film Location

If you are interested in having your business used for filming, you can register your property online with the New Mexico State Film Office’s Locations Directory on the New Mexico Film Office website.
