Mayor's Day of Volunteer Recognition Online Nomination

Please take the time to nominate an individual volunteer or group of volunteers who have provided outstanding service to our community during 2025. Below is a list of awards for which nominations will be accepted. All submitted nominations will receive certificates.

Nominations are due by 5 pm, March 6, 2026

Please note that awardees will take part in recorded interviews during the weeks of March 30 & April 6. These will be scheduled after awardee notification.

• Lifetime Achievement Award – an individual who has made a distinguished impact through community service over their lifetime with 10+ years of service.
• Volunteer Group of the Year – a group of volunteers representative of a nonprofit organization that has demonstrated exemplary community service as a whole.
• Youth or Young Adult Volunteer of the Year – a volunteer, age 12-24, who has provided remarkable community service.
• Corporate Volunteer Group of the Year – a corporate organization/business that has facilitated excellent community service among their employees.
• Older Adult Volunteer of the Year – a volunteer, age 55 or more, who has provided remarkable community service.
• Volunteer of the Year – an individual who has demonstrated tremendous community service, outside of expectations, may have shown innovative ways of addressing issues, or leads and inspires others through their dedication to service.
• National Service Participant or Participants of the Year – A national service participant or group of participants who went above and beyond supporting the community they serve. National Service Streams of Service: AmeriCorps (VISTA, NCCC, ASN, AmeriCorps Seniors).
