Keep Albuquerque Beautiful Intern

General Summary of Duties

Support Keep Albuquerque Beautiful and the Solid Waste Media and Marketing Coordination division in executing clerical duties to support daily functions.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate events and activities for the Keep Albuquerque Beautiful program
  • Initiate recruitment of volunteers, donations, and in-kind support for the program
  • Coordinate special events involving community and business partners
  • Arrange and conduct educational tours of the Barco Recycling Center and Cerro Colorado Landfill for community organizations and school groups
  • Presentation of educational and informational speeches for schools, community, and environmental groups regarding residential, commercial, and governmental recycling strategies
  • Run Errands
  • Assist with special events: School presentations, recycling, litter, graffiti, and other beautification events.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Must be between the ages of 18-25. Must possess a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must be able to acquire a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months of hire.

Working Conditions

Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Light labor is required.
