Paying Citations
Online
You will need your license plate information or the citation number located on your copy of the parking ticket to complete your transaction. A receipt will be emailed to you upon completion of your payment. If you need assistance, you can call 311 or the Parking Division offices at 505-924-3950.
In Person
You may pay in person at the Parking Division office located at:

By Mail
For your convenience you may pay by mail. Please do not send cash. Payment should be made by check or money order payable to the City of Albuquerque. Please write the citation number and license plate on the check. Foreign or two party checks are not accepted. Mail to:

Contesting a Citation
Please note you may only contest citations issued by the City of Albuquerque Parking Enforcement Division here.
Contesting your citation(s) does not stop the fine amounts from, doubling, tripling, or escalating to Metropolitan Court.
Those issues by the Albuquerque Police Department or other agencies are not eligible. You may request a hearing through Metropolitan Court in person at:

The registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for any parking citations.
Failure to Respond to a Parking Citation
- Fines for any parking violation, including § 7-5-3 Display and Sale of Motor Vehicles, if not paid within ten days of the occurrence of the violation, shall be two times the amount of the fine, and if not paid within 20 days of the occurrence of the violation, shall be three times the amount of the fine, unless the person cited has initiated court proceedings to answer the charges within five days of the issuance of the citation.
- Violators who plead guilty in court to a citation or are adjudicated guilty by the Court are subject to substantial fees and costs assessed by the Metropolitan Court in addition to the citation fine amount.
The following action may occur if unpaid citations accumulate and the person fails to appear in court to contest them: The vehicle may be immobilized/booted and then towed after 72 hours. Vehicle owners are responsible for all fees associated with vehicle booting and towing.
